Here I would like to to share my experience and feelings about learning German, living and exploring this unforgettable city – Vienna.
Now let me introduce myself. My name is Valeriia. I was born in the north-west of Russia, in a small cold town Petrozavodsk. You probably have never heard about it. Petrozavodsk is located near Saint-Petersburg, in 300 kilometres. Well, this distance of 300 km is believed to be quite close in Russia. My home city is surrounded by amazaing nature: large forests, thousands of lakes and rivers, wild animals and fresh vegetables and berries.
Petrozavodsk is located close to the border with Finland, it was one of the main reasons, why I decided to apply for Finnish University. So, after school graduation I moved to the central Finland, and I have never regretted! I have been studying at JAMK University of Applied Sciences in a small city called Jyvaskyla. Apparently, I feel a special love for small towns! Then I decided to challenge myself, and I changed my place of residence again…
In September 2016 I moved to Vienna as an exchange student. I can hardly find the proper words to explain how deeply I was impressed by its beauty… culture, architecture, events, parks and museums! Without any doubts, German language is a significant part of its daily life. My dream is to learn German language, which will help me to be a small part of Vienna. That is why, I decided to attend Deutsch Akademie courses at A2.1 level. Now you know me a little bit better, so now I can start to share my thoughts, secrets and feelings about daily life in Vienna.
